USC still waiting for Perry's clearance

Nick Perry, a highly regarded defensive end from Detroit King, has an uncertain future at Southern California because of academic issues.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound freshman hasn't been approved to practice or play by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
"We are waiting on test scores/transcripts to come in," USC football sports information director Tim Tessalone wrote in an e-mail to The Detroit News on Monday. "We still list him on our roster, but (Perry) has yet to report."
