Michigan freshman tight end Koger proves to be a quick study

The first time Kevin Koger felt a nudge on his shoulder to get on to the field, he thought it was a joke.
The freshman tight end came to the University of Michigan never expecting to play this season after starting camp buried on the depth chart behind veterans Mike
Massey and Carson Butler.
But when neither fit adequately into Rich Rodriguez's offense, Koger became the top option.
Two starts later, the 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pound Koger has emerged as a viable option in the Wolverines' spread attack.
At times, Koger still sometimes has trouble believing the opportunity to showcase his talent has come so soon.
