Toledo shocks Michigan

ANN ARBOR -- They were supposed to come out determined to take out frustrations on Toledo, their Mid-American Conference little brother.

The Michigan players, stung earlier in the week by coach Rich Rodriguez's comments that the Wolverines at times played "soft" in a brutal loss to Illinois a week ago, were expected to come out firing.

Michigan lost for the first time in 25 meetings against teams from the MAC, falling 13-10 to Toledo on Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Michigan is now 2-4 overall, its worst start in 41 years, and Toledo, an enormous underdog, also is 2-4.
