Mailbag Question: How will this off-season be different from before
How will this off-season be different from before and what do these players do with no bowl game to look forward too?
Do they start off-season conditioning right away? Is the team allowed to practice after the Ohio State game? What are the things that the team can do from then to spring (if anything) that they can get together in a football setting?
Thank you,
Larry

Thanks for the question. There is a dead period right after season with no player contact. In addition, would guess that staff gives team at least couple of weeks off to let injuries heal and study for exams.
Having poor season does give staff additional time to evaluate and recruit new players. In addition, it gives staff more motivational material for off-season. Coaches cannot actually coach football skills, but nothing stops players from getting together and throwing the ball around.
This could be interesting off-season.
