Mailbag Question: Is Quarterback the only problem holding this team back?
Hey Guys,
I keep hearing that we are just a quarterback away from being good again? Do you guys see that as well or do we have a lot more problems than just quarterback?
You guys have been pretty good with this kind of stuff all the way back to spring ball when a lot of us didn't pay any attention and bash you guys?
Jim

Thanks for the question Improved play at quarterback are definitely a top priority and a must if Michigan is going to be a better football team. However, it is not the only problem.
Michigan needs a major upgrade in the wide receivers position with a speed wide receiver. Who can hit a seam and take it to the house. This will help back those safeties up. Michigan also needs a big upgrade at offensive tackle. Shilling is an offensive guard playing offensive tackle out of need, and Ortmann is not natural fit at left tackle.
Michigan also needs another slot receiver who helps stretch a defense and makes plays in the running game. In addition, that does even begin to hit on the defense where even bigger problems need to be addressed in the off-season and in recruiting.

I wonder how much better we would be with a healthy TRob and Jr Hemingway.
