Mailbag Question: Improve the most next year?

Hello,

Where does this team need to improve the most? Seems like a loaded question since so many places need better players, but wondering where do you guys think the main concern is and do you see improvement coming there?

Thanks guys,

Keep up the great work!

Dan

Thanks for the question. The number one thing on our list is an attitude adjustment. The team is just too nice and easy to play against.

Michigan needs to get back to that edgy, tear your damn heads off attitude that was their hallmark for years.

Secondly are turnovers. Michigan cannot turn the ball over thirty times and improve appreciably.

Third is to improve fundamentals. On defense the team must tackle better, be stronger position wise, take proper angles, stop giving up big plays, etc.

On offense the team must block better, make the proper reads, and get better quarterback play.

Fourth is improving special teams play. In football teams that block and tackle the best and control the line of scrimmage wins 99% of the time. In addition, this means that the special teams need to get better. They cannnot miss chip shot field goals. They also have to cover and return better, and punt more consistently.
