Devin Gardner: 2010 Michigan Wolverine
Height: 6'4
Weight: 195
Position: Quarterback
High School: Inkster Vikings (Michigan)
Head Coach: Greg Carter
Recruiter: Coach Rod Smith
Class: 2010 Michigan Wolverine Recruiting Class (Enrolled)
Overview:
He is a super athlete who definitely passes the sight test. His huge frame is capable of adding size and strength while maintaining athletic ability. The Kid just makes plays!
Strengths:
A great combination of size and speed. He shows very good quickness and the ability to cut in space, avoiding the rush well, and he can make plays out of the pocket. Has very good arm strength, both distance and velocity.
Needs work:
His footwork needs major improvement and has a habit of throwing off his back foot or with his feet not set. He also needs to work on his throwing mechanics.
Reminds us of former Michigan Wolverine:
Jay Riemersma and Dennis Franklin.
Red-shirt or play his freshman year:
GBMW believe he will play and not red-shirt.
Where do they rank him:
ESPN: 4-Star .. #5 at position.
Max Preps: 5-Star .. #1 at position.
Rivals: 4-Star .. #1 at position.
Scout: 5-Star .. #5 at position.
Final Thoughts:
He's an exceptional athlete who is a true dual threat quarterback who has good ball skills, size, and quickness to cause a defensive coordinator nightmares preparing to defend him. He can make accurate throws on the run and in this offense you need to be able to run Coach Rod's offense.
