Mailbag question: Brandon Graham and the draft?
GBMW,
What are your thoughts on Brandon Graham? How do you think he will do in the NFL? Also, do you think he will fit into the Eagles defense well?

Thanks for the question.
Brandon Graham plays the third most important position in the world of NFL pro football, a speed edge rusher.
Graham became a likely top fifteen pick with a superior, MVP Senior Bowl performance.
We thought he would end as an outside linebacker in the Patriots or Steelers’ 3-4 defense. Even in the stealthy world of the NFL, it was no secret that New England liked Brandon. But New England, as evidenced again this year, will not tear apart an entire draft to gain one particular player, but instead let other teams pay for the right to move up and take a player, amassing draft picks along the way.
The Eagles obviously see a Dwight Freeney type speed rusher who can dominate offensive tackles. Brandon Graham handled every Big Ten offensive tackle, including Iowa's first round left tackle Bryan Bulaga who was drafted by the Green Bay Packers.
Add in the fact that Brandon is great kid with no character issues and you have a player who fits in anywhere. He is a player who whenever interviewed always has a smile on his face, and always talks positive about his program and the people around him.
Some people refer to people like Brandon as winners.
