Overview:
He has ability to play either safety or Cornerback. Originally saw as only safety, but after watching spring scrimmage and practice understand why he fits into what Coach Shafer and Coach Gibson are doing in the backfield. Also shows ability to be superior special team’s player.
Strengths:
He has very good combination of size, speed, and athletic ability. He plays a physical, hard-hitting game. Technically sound tackler who fills like a Linebacker against the run. He uses his hands very well in press coverage.
Needs Work:
He jams very well, but at times his feet go dead after contact. Those read steps are extremely important. Lose sight of Quarterback when jamming, and loses contact with Wide Receiver at times. He heads downhill a bit too early at times and needs to maintain outside leverage and be widest player on the field.
