ANN ARBOR -- After three games, Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez knows what kind of team he has, he knows what the Wolverines need to do, and now it's a matter of finding out if they can get there.

The Wolverines (1-2) are coming off a turnover-filled loss at Notre Dame Saturday and approach a weekend off before facing Wisconsin in the Big Ten opener at Michigan Stadium on Sept. 27 (ABC, 3:30 p.m.).

"I was a little unsure exactly what we had," Rodriguez said Monday during his weekly news conference. "I had an idea. You don't know for sure until you play a game how the guys, particularly the young guys, the first-time starters, not just the freshmen, are going to react in a game situation. You have to play a game to figure that out. Then you have to play a game on the road, sometimes, to figure things out, at least to get a little bit more verification on what you think you have.
