Summers Named Alternate Captain for 2008-09ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan ice hockey head coach Red Berenson announced Monday (Sept. 8) that junior forward/defenseman Chris Summers (Milan, Mich.) will serve as an alternate captain for the 2008-09 season.
Summers has spent the majority of his tenure at Michigan as a defenseman, tallying eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points in 81 games. During the 2007-08 campaign, Summers posted career highs in assists (11) and plus/minus (+26).
