Weekly Press Conference: Rivalry Game Makes This Week Special
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Michigan football team plays Notre Dame in South Bend this week. When the two schools meet, it's not "just another week."
First-year U-M coach Rich Rodriguez knows it and so does ND coach Charlie Weis. Both coaches opened their respective press conferences this week saying basically the same thing: "You don't have to worry about getting the players ready for this game."
There is something special about rivalry games and Rodriguez noted that during his Monday press conference. He noted it was great to be at Michigan because you have three of these type of games a year -- Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State. He also noted "There are few schools in the country that have that type of rivalry."
