Mailbag Question: What changed from last week

Guys ...

What changed this week from last week? I mean the defense actually looked inspired to play and showed some emotion along with making tackles.

In addition, the offense looked a lot better is this because Minnesota is not any good or did we finally turn the page and see what we might have to look forward too?

Did you guys see how Coach Rod was acting at the beginning of the game when Sheridan was making mistakes. He wasn't angry or showing mad type expressions as he normally does with Threet? Is that because the pressure is off now or is it because Coach Rod is a former walk-on and knows what Sheridan has done?

Thanks for the question. On defense, going back to the more familiar four fronts seemed to really help. The defense looked and played much faster and with more confidence than week before.

Confident and unconfused players will play faster. Big difference is the offense play this week. Offense kept defense off the field, controlled the clock, and changed field position. Those things are crucial to having successful defense. Have they turned the corner? For one week, they have.

We here would recommend being cautiously optimistic.
