Links of Interest for Michigan

Oh what a difference a day makes, ok well maybe not. Yep another day of ESPN bashing, trashing, and even polling how weak UM and the B10 OOC schedules. Heck, there are even groups fantasizing about having us play teams not on our schedule. Hey, there is a ray of sunshine though; it just doesn’t shine in WV. Over a year and the whining and gnashing of teeth continues, meanwhile RR has said sorry and he loves the state and that seemed good enough for the Gov. Speaking of messy break-ups where the FACTS get thrown about, Tate’s Brother Chris made a public scene on his way out of UCLA to Furman.

Personally I do not know whether to be happy or scared, but there are schools being picked to be in line to incline or decline, oddly enough we made neither list. But, for all the Hater-aid being drunk, UM and RR recruiting are doing very well, and that just might be because the kids see what guys like RR and Larry Foote are doing for the community such as the Gates Football Camp. Even one our own Rick Leach, is lauding praise on RR and what he stand for, maybe that is why God is rewarding Ricky his own bobble-head doll which you the UM fan can own. Here is just more proof that things happen everywhere. People are constantly on the topic of UM player departures; well Coach Robinson’s old team has had 14; that is more than RR did even with all the media dog pile. Well not all news is bad though, more commits are showing up on campus as we speak and Nick is up and running again. So, another way to make our spirits soar, less pass our grief to someone else – say the Buckeyes.

They (whoever they are) say the tallest blade of grass, is the first cut – this is true of weeds also, or maybe just five-star players such as tGA RB Jamaal Berry who got caught with a lil (Little is just an expression) puff the magic dragon weed (man his eyes are red – he must have allergies). But joining the gay-corns in their misery is Purdue who are still looking for QB depth and PSU who lost all four starting DBS. Speaking of losses, we can scratch two prospects off our list as RB Darion Hall committed to Miami and TE Brad Harrah opted for Cincinnati (though that may be a good thing as it relates to Alex Welch). Since we have started, let’s keep on with recruiting.

Instate QB and UM prospect Robert Bolden has named Sparty a finalist and it is not looking good that he’ll join the MI University. Two other potential QB prospects Barry Brunetti and Braxton Miller are being considered by the Buckeyes; while CB recruit Johnavon Fulton spent the weekend at Bama. One school that has many D1 prospects and many UM at that is Dematha, and it is loaded with talent. To end football recruiting on a good note, WR Andrew Carswell has placed UM in his top three. Onto the UM basketball court.

In his new position on the ethics committee, it appears Coach Beilein is going to start scrutinizing one and dones; when he is not doing that he will be hanging out with Kyle Bush as a dignitary. Meanwhile his nephew is snagging up some recruits of his own. As for basketball recruiting, Point Guard Brandan Kearney made Team USA and Center Adreian Payne has landed a spot on National Basketball Players Association Top 100. Let’s wrap up with other sports.

In baseball as was expected, Fetter was drafted by the Padres, and Dan Fields has to decide whether to sign straight away with the Tigers or go to UM. In golf UM athletes Lion Kim and Alexander Sitompul received Ping Honorable mention awards. Finally in soccer, Former University of Michigan men's soccer forward Peri Marosevic will travel with the U.S. Under-20 National Team.

Well another day of UM news is over, may you all have a wonderful day.

Steve

As the one who made the original comment on the previous formatting, may I offer a sincere Thank You for your efforts in recent days.

The biggest improvement is that the format is readable and far less cumbersome.

Once again, thanks for your efforts.

I like the descriptions, but if you could separate them into a bulleted list, it would be much faster and easier to skim through them for the ones I'm interested in. In general, the links are a very useful addition to the blog. Thanks!
