Basketball Preview - University of Michigan
Michigan should be mad, mad at Michigan and mad at Indiana. Indiana recently gave the Wolverines a tough loss, a loss in which the leading scorer and best athlete, Maurice Creek did not even play. Indiana simply played harder and believed that the basketball was their possession on rebounding situations and not to be shared. Michigan played poor inside-defense, let Indiana get to the ball, and was in general lackluster.
Tonight there is an opportunity for some pay back. Indiana will change nothing. The Hoosiers will play tough man defense and play a team game. The Hoosiers will not quit, but may get beaten.
This is a very simple situation: Michigan now enters the toughest part of the schedule and better grab any win that is there for the taking.
Connecticut and Michigan State will show if this team has made any improvement, is staying stagnant, or is actually progression.
So, Coach Beilein may want to remind his team that anger should be directed at Indiana, because that is so much easier than being mad at your own team.
