You guys seemed to be worried about how Coach Rod was handling things lately and how recruiting is going especially in Ohio. With the latest commits do you guys feel any better especially since Justin Turner (Ohio recruit) committed to Michigan? Do you see things getting better in your guys eyes?

Question asked before Bell committed. Thanks for the question. Getting verbal from Justin Turner and Isaiah Bell was huge. If Coach Rod and staff get in front of this situation it is my opinion they can hold the damage to a small amount. That will be one of the things I will watch with great interest, what is the attitude of the team. Players being one and talking up the program, along with staff communicating with high school coaches can all be the difference.
With the success at the end of the 2008 recruiting year especially in Ohio I believe coaches and players in Ohio at the high school level took notice and even Coach Tressell’s staff took notice because now he is even recruiting Chris Freeman from Trotwood-Madison which he never really recruited that program because of disagreements between the head coaches. So we thought this was the year for Michigan to really show kids and coaches that they are wanting to battle Ohio State for kids and not just let OSU take who they want like the previous staff seemed to do the last several years. One thing the old staff did was wanted kids to come to camp to show them they are interested or they would rely on programs that Michigan dealt with in the past.
The staff has gotten the ball rolling lately, but still feel they are behind, but hopefully right after spring ball that all changes and they hit the recruiting trail hard and evaluating a lot more kids and getting a feel for who they are targeting this recruiting year.
