Mailbag question: Team Attitude

Hey,

Love your website guys. It is the first Michigan site I check each day.

You said that last year the players' attitudes were the worst you had ever seen at Michigan. I felt that might have been a big part of the losing record last Thanks for all the info from the coach's clinic.

Do you see an improvement in players' attitude this spring?

Thanks,

Julie

WOW ... Thanks for the comments and the question!

For the most part team attitude seemed very good. Players were laughing and having fun playing football.

Upper classmen were helping the younger players with picking up some of the techniques and packages. For the most part players were working hard and taking to the coaching.

Was it 100% sunshine and rainbows, lollipops and roses all the time? Of course not. There will always be some rumblings and players who are unhappy, especially when things go wrong.

To quote Coach Rod, it takes very "thick skin" to coach and play in our Michigan program. Some kids just do not have that type of thick skin to play here at Michigan.
