Mailbag question: Tight End's and Defense
1. Let us know if the Tight end position is really done, or are they trying to use it still as a weapon in the offense rather than just blocking.
2. Stuff on Coach Robinson's new defense.

Thanks for the question.
Tight end were used more in the three days this weekend than all of last season. It was used in some exciting ways.
If Michigan does not continue to use the tight end this year, we will be very disappointed. In our opinion, tight end is the most talented, deepest position on the team. Koger and Webb are both elite level talent that can give defenses fits.
Now as far as the defense Michigan was playing mostly 3-4 with two hybrid positions. Michigan was primarily using zone blitzes, and was adjusting hybrids to allow Michigan to play both 3-4 and 4-3 without adjusting personnel.
