Michigan Coaches Clinic: Wow we are back from this event

Hung out with CoachBt (drove together), picked up MaizeMan. Josh Turel and Morenci124 were there with another 1,000 coaches. Learned a lot about the new staff along with getting a feel of what they are looking for and the direction they want to take this Michigan program. Desmon Howard was there to take a peak at the new Michigan Wolverines as well. A lot of players are coming back and we will share some of the stories we have heard.

One thing I will add that is not Michigan related is that the people that think Michigan State is taking over think again. From what I heard they only had around 150 coaches at their clinic and I am guessing Michigan had nearly 1,000 (700-800 pre registered) and a lot of walk-ins and people that signed up online, but Michigan didn't receive it to get the paperwork around in time. Also a certain school wanted to come and learn somethings to see for themselves and that was the MSU Coaches. I think the area knows who is still king. Was able to see a lot of high school and a few college coaches from all over the U.S.A.

We will be adding a lot of material and pictures over the next week or so from the three-day clinic. We will be adding things from the clinic all week long. A lot of information to cover along with quotes from various Michigan coaches as well. They had some very good quotes. Some you might not understand or really get … almost had to be there.

The legend continues. Without a doubt, Barwis had everybody’s attention and his status of legend continues to get bigger and bigger. I pumped him up with the four part articles here and many people e-mailed questioning what I was writing. When the other coaches spoke some people got up or went to look at what the vendors were showing or gathering with other coaches to just catch up or meet new coaches. When Barwis talked, every seat was gone and people on both sides with people standing in the back. The building was pure silent and watching him, which was amazing with so many people there.

Over the next week or so, we will be adding things from various people who were actually there such as CoachBt, MaizeMan, Morencie124, Josh Turel and myself. So hopefully you will visit often and tell your friends ;)
