Yo,
Love your site. It's the first one I check (almost daily) for UM news. It's chock full of interesting articles (and typos, but so what as long we can follow what your saying, right?) I'm a relocated native Ann Arborite who discovered the UM blogs after I heard Coach R was hired and craved to learn all I could about the new regime.
I'm just writing to express my opinion that you've been too nice to Carr. He was mediocre at best. (And for the matter, I think Bo was also mediocre, though it's heresay to say it. When you examine both coaches records against "real" teams, sifting out the victories against some laughable "Little Eight" teams and what remains is a relatively dismal records, far from the "elite" delusions Michigan has clung to over the past few decades.) At least Bo's teams seemed athletically competitive, though his offense was always too conservative to make the best use of the talent. The last few years Michigan teams just didn't show the zip of other high-caliber teams. Nor the mental toughness.
But let's bygones be bygones, I'm excited for the future. I feel Coach R is a true top-tier coach that will indeed make Michigan an elite football power, not just in us Wolverines own minds, but in the begrudging minds of Buckeyes, Trojans, Bruins, Gators, Tigers, and menagerie of others claiming the throne.
And with Barwis around, Michigan will win a lot of close games just on conditioning and mental toughness.
Would love to know more details about Barwis's strength and conditioning methods, practice AND theory, if it's not some state secret. For example, what exactly does the Olympic lifting aspect of his program entail? I'd like to know what sort of movements and the theory behind it.
Keep up the great coverage.
Cheers,
-- F

Thanks for the question.
First off, “WE” have never claimed to be professional writers especially when we are not being paid for anything we put up on this blog. Another thing is we are fans first and we have some access so we like to share with the other Michigan fans. If your interested in proper grammar look at the Detroit News they went to college to be journalist and are paid for their job while this is not our job. This is a hobby for us and we like to share with other Michigan fans. Like I always say I am the worst in the grammar department and don’t shy away from it, but maybe people should get off the high horse before complaining about others writing and typos. Just my thoughts on it all. Especially this is only a blog page … not the Detroit News.
In regards to Carr:
It was time for a change, but you cannot forget what he has done at Michigan. From being an assistant coach to being the head coach at Michigan. He brought Michigan back with becoming a power again with winning a National Championship along with five Big Ten titles while never getting the program in trouble. Did the program get soft? Yes, but also the players have to be held accountable as well.
You have to give the guy credit for what he has done over his time.
Regarding Barwis:
