Strengths:
Smallish receiver who is natural for slot in Coach Rod's version of spread offense. Runs very well and shows excellent quickness and explosiveness. Uses a couple of nice moves, including stutter step, stop and go, and change of speeds to make 1st defender miss. He can stop on a dime and changes direction without losing speed. Very good hands and also shows great concentration, adjusts to ball well in the air, and ability to catch ball in a crowd. He runs the reserve well, both reading and setting up blocks, and is extremely dangerous in space. Despite his small stature, Odoms is fearless over the middle and take a hit.

Needs Work:
He needs to get better at beating jam and to avoid rerouting. Shows willingness to block, but technique needs work. Has tendency to give too much ground and run east and west instead of getting up field. Gets a bit too fancy and tries to turn everything into big play. He will need to get bigger and stronger to help improve some of those areas of concern.
