Michigan Hockey going to the Frozen Four

Michigan Hockey beating Niagara and also Clarkson this past weekend advances them to the Frozen Four. This is the 23rd time that the Michigan Hockey program has made the Frozen Four who will face CCHA rival Notre Dame on April 10 while Boston College will face North Dakota for the right to the Championship Game April 12.

Michigan is still struggling a little bit of making dumb penalties and giving the other teams a chance on the power play. Michigan went 9 for 9 on the penalty kill on Saturday night. Billy Sauer had a great weekend and really had some great stops this weekend. He didn't see a lot of action on Friday night, but was tested on Saturday. Really saw two different types and styles of games this past weekend on Friday Michigan was using their speed and finesse and then on Saturday it was a rougher more hitting game against Clarkson who really impressed me as a hockey team.

The usual suspect came out again this weekend with Kevin Porter and Chad Kolarik leading this team to the Frozen Four. On Friday night Porter had four goals, Kolarik had five assists, Max Pacioretty had a goal and two assists, Aaron Palushaj added two assists while Sauer had 16 saves. On Saturday night Porter had a goal and an assist, while Pacioretty and Kolarik had one assist apiece while Sauer had 27 saves.
