Threet likely U-M starter

ANN ARBOR -- Reading between the lines, scanning the tea leaves, listening for clues, it seems Steven Threet will be Michigan's starting quarterback Saturday.
Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez knows, but he isn't saying.
Nick Sheridan started the opener -- a loss to Utah -- and Threet played the second half, helping the team rally.
Rodriguez wouldn't name a starter Wednesday before practice, but it certainly looked during the limited session the media were allowed to watch that Threet had assumed the job.
