Michigan's target: stop Clausen again

Wolverines sacked ND QB 8 times last year

ANN ARBOR - Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen said this week he doesn't remember how many times he was knocked down by Michigan defenders last year.

It's understandable. Who wouldn't be a little foggy after suffering through eight sacks in a single game?

"I just know I was knocked down a few times," Clausen recalled. "You just got to get back up, keep fighting, try to come out with a victory in the end."

That didn't happen for Clausen or Notre Dame against the Wolverines last year. UM pulverized the Irish 38-0 at the Big House.
