Utah Utes vs. Michigan Wolverines: Breakdown of the game - part 4

Special teams:

Good coverage and nice returns when Michigan had a chance, but their kickers were outstanding and probably the best Michigan will see this year. They were game changers. When Utah got the ball to Michigan's thirty yard line, three points was all but automatic. They were also able to use their kicking game to gain the advantage in field position.

The special teams were the biggest improvement of this Michigan team, with a few exceptions.

Our punt coverage caused a fumble that led to Michigan's first touchdown. We blocked their first extra point attempt. K.C. Lopata kicked a career high 50 yard field goal. The blocked punt in the fourth quarter changed the dynamic of the game, coming at a time when nothing was going right and Utah had a seemingly insurmountable 15 point lead. Those are the types of plays we may need more of. Football players making plays, especially at gut check time. The two delay of game penalties on Michigan's punt team were the only problems we saw on special teams. We can attribute that to the new clock rules. Besides the two penalties, Zoltan Mesko did not have his best game, but again, our punt coverage was solid.

It's sour grapes at this point. But, since you brought up the delay-of-game penalties on our punts, I've gotta ask:

Does anyone have the game recorded, and can they rewind to the 53 yard Utah field goal (I believe it was the final one)? I'd swear the 40 second clock was expired by 1-2 seconds before they snapped the ball.

Anybody else notice this?
