STATE COLLEGE, Pa . --The refrain has become familiar: Can't put together a full game, the execution wasn't there, 24 hours and then we move on.

This is life as a Michigan Wolverine.

It's not fun.

Michigan is 2-5, has lost three straight and must win four of its final five to become bowl eligible. If not, the Wolverines' imposing streak of 33-straight postseason appearances will be snapped.

And speaking of snapped streaks, Michigan, a 23 1/2 point underdog, lost in a 46-17 rout at third-ranked Penn State (8-0, 4-0 Big Ten) on Saturday. The Wolverines, now 1-2 in league play, had won nine straight against the Nittany Lions. Now, they are off to their worst start in 41 years and facing their first losing season since 1967.
