ANN ARBOR - A Michigan running back has been suspended from the team indefinitely pending the results of a university police investigation into an on-campus assault early Sunday morning.
Mike Milano, 22, of Rocky River, Ohio, a junior walk-on who has yet to play this season, is the player on suspension, Wolverines spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed yesterday.
Authorities are looking into an assault that occurred about
2:25 a.m. Sunday - hours after UM lost 13-10 to Toledo. Diane Brown, a police spokesman, said the suspect was identified as a 22-year-old male from Ohio.
Brown declined to release the names of the assailant or victim and said there have been no charges or arrests.
