Mailbag question: Ferrara, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Patterson, and Williams
Thanks for sharing the info on your blog, and don't worry about any naysayer. After all, we are all huge Wolverines fans...
What role do you foresee for a few specific players this season? I'm curious about:
1) John Ferrara
2) J.B. Fitzgerald
3) Junior Hemingway
4) Adam Patterson
5) Mike Williams

Thanks for the question and comments.
1) John Ferrara: Back up offensive guard, who worked mostly with second group this spring. He could possibly drop to third group once Barnum returns.
2) J.B. Fitzgerald: Worked with first group at inside linebacker much of spring. Expect him to drop to second group once Mouton returns and is healthy. Key back up and special teams contributor this year since the coaches told us they want to play a lot of bodies if they can. They told us they like to have twenty-two on both sides of the ball ready to play.
3) Junior Hemmingway: If he stays healthy we expect Hemmingway to be one of Michigan's starting split ends and get a lot of snaps this football season.
4) Adam Patterson: Key back up on the defensive line. He is capable of playing both defensive tackle and defensive end. Will be fighting with Banks for first sub at defensive end in our opinion.
5) Michael Williams: Expect him to start season as starting strong safety in our opinion. Will have season long competition with Vlad for starting strong safety job. Could also be key special teams contributor. We expect both to play this year since the coaches want many players playing this year.
