***Regarding Boo Boo *** Updated at 12:30pm
Since it has been announced elsewhere that Boo Boo did not make the trip to Iowa we will go into more details.
*** Rumor alert *** GBMW got word on Friday that he was asked to leave practice twice this past week during practice. Seems that he has not taken to his benching very well. Also he was placed on the scout team earlier as well.
Some sites were using his injury as an excuse for how bad he has been playing this year and using the "waving of hands" after each incomplete pass even if he had nothing to do with it as an emotional boost even when he was getting torched during the Notre Dame game.
His future at Michigan is up in the air as well. Will he go just a few miles away to play football if things do not go well at Michigan? Who knows after the game they may use the "flu bug" as an excuse of him not making the trip. Will be interesting press conference after the game.
*** Rumors alert *** are swirling that a couple of players think he is gone either way at the end of the year. Will this get worked out and everybody get back on the same page? Time will tell. Hopefully this situation gets worked out.

This is where the cohesiveness of the group culture should come into play. His team mates should be the first ones to get him back in line when he steps out. Everyone supports and corrects everyone else. Because this is not happening, it is clear that this team is not as close as we thought.
To Voice of Reason...
Or, the players realize that BooBoo is a distraction and unwilling to be ALL IN. It's been reported in the past that BooBoo is a very emotional guy and hard headed. Maybe it's best that he does leave the team instead of disrupting it with his selfish ways.
You could be totally right, however, what we've seen was BooBoo staying and going through a rigorous first year under coach Rod and company. He knew what to expect coming into this year. He didn't walk away all of last year when things were its toughest. That tells me something, that tells me that he wasn't like that kid that transfered to OSU. He wasn't afraid of the workouts or the cuss outs. He's a tough kid and he wanted to be here. He was also one of the guys that pledged that he was "all in for Michigan." He has gone through the fall camp and now we're into the best part of the season. So his issues aren't with the team per se.
I agree that he is emotional and that he wears his emotions on his sleeve. His issues are more sensative than we know. If you can remember, he was arrested before the season started because one of his friends was being arrested by the police. Booboo wasn't directly involved at first but he yeld out something to the effect, "leave my boy alone," resulting in his own arrest. The culture in the hood is that "we stick together and that we all go down together." Booboo has a need to "belong" [like many of us do] but his maybe greater than most. That is the main reason why I suggested that his team mates should have made a greater effort to get him back in line. I believe he would have eventually responded to that. Every player knows that every position is up for grabs, and if your team mate out performs you then you try harder next time. We all have pride in what we do, he is no different. To some players, the team is the only real family they have and the coaches are more of a father figure. That is why the coach has to really understand the psyche of their key players and how to work with them.
Maybe you're right, maybe Booboo is a lost cause and should go. I just hope that the team has done all they could to salvage what could end up being a great young man and future leader of men.
