Mailbag question: All the negative talk

GBMW is an excellent web site, great job guys!

I was just wondering about the state of the program, all the "drama" going on, the negative pub, etc. The program is getting a new A.D, so what does that mean? All the BAD loses, I could keep going, but is Coach Rod going to be able to make it for another year? I support the program, first and foremost, whoever the coach is, I support. I do not want to see coach Rod leave or be forced out. I thought coach Rod quit WVU, his home, his alma mater, his dream job, because of the school president; I might be wrong. But if a president got Coach Rod to quit, I tend to think all this stuff going on right now has got to be worse than anything that was going on at WVU. The new A.D. (not named yet), is there going to be pressure on whomever that person is to replace coach Rod with a new coach, or is MSC going to hire somebody that will be able to handle all the outside pressure and give coach Rod the time he needs to get us to were we need to be? So back to the bottom line, do you guys think Coach Rod will be here next year? I know you can’t see the future but in your honest opinion what do you guys think is going to happen?

In our opinion Coach Rod will be back next season regardless of what happens.

The only way he does not return is if something comes out of the “investigations” that is deemed to be a major ethics or NCCA violation.

If Coach Rod does not show major improvement in 2010, we could see a new athletic director wanting his own person as head coach of the football program.

Note: As far as not being on Scout, it is best for both parties that we have parted ways. I can always be found here at GBMW along with CoachBt, MaizeMan, and Doc4blu. So please stop by often and thanks again for writing to GBMW.
