Mailbag question: Same mistakes over and over again?

Mailbag question: Same mistakes over and over again?

Guys,

I am so frustrated right now.

All we have been hearing is that Coach Rod improves his teams from the first year to the next? Have you seen this happening because I have not?

This team continues to make the same mistakes over and over again. Is it the players, coaches, or something else?

Can you help explain this?

Phil S.

Thanks for the question.

Early on this season we thought Michigan was showing a reasonable amount of growth, especially considering the personnel.

It was previously stated that we were concerned that some of the early growth/success had as much to do with Michigan 's competition as anything else.

We are firm believers that everything in football is team related. You win and you lose as a team, this is more than a mere saying.

When a team wins, everyone, the players coaches, staff, and administration get part of the credit. When a team loses it also is as a team and as the credit is shared so is the blame.

Most fans usually give credit to one (or a select few) player more than others for success, and in the same regards fans sometimes blame one player and not the team collectively when things do not go well. Usually, but not always, football is not that simplistic.
