Overview:
Marvin is a good overall athlete, one who is capable of playing multiple positions. He has a good combination of size and athletic ability.

Strengths:
Marvin reads and reacts very well and is very strong at his position. He is very good at run support and is a solid tackler, along with having experience with playing cover 2 and 3 schemes.

Needs work:
Marvin’s overall quickness could be a bit better. He takes solid angles, but needs to get his head across the front when tackling.

Marvin reminds GBMW of this former Michigan Wolverine:
Prescott Burgess

Red-shirt or play his freshman year:
Marvin does not red-shirt. He at least plays on special teams.

Where do they rank him:
ESPN: 4-Star .. #21 at position.
Max Prep: 5-Star .. #N/A at position.
Rivals: 4-Star .. #20 at position.
Scout: 4-Star .. #18 at position.

Final Thoughts:
Look for Marvin to be tried at Stevie Brown's position and see what he can do right away. He is a sure tackler who brings a hard-hitting edge to his game and a terrific pass defender who seems to be able to react to reading the plays and is always around the ball.
