Ricardo Miller: 2010 Michigan Wolverine -- Split End -- Signing Day Recap

Posted at 4:00pm -- 2/3/2010

Ricardo Miller: 2010 Michigan Wolverine

Height: 6'2
Weight: 208
Position: Split End
High School: Ann Arbor Pioneer (Michigan)
Head Coach: Jeremy Gold
Recruiter: Coach Rod Smith
Class: 2010 Michigan Wolverine Recruiting Class (Enrolled)

Overview:
Ricardo is an excellent athlete who plays a physical game. He is also capable of playing multiple positions and being a very good special-team player. He possesses very good potential and is a good get for Coach Rod and the Michigan coaching staff.

Strengths:
Ricardo is a very physical player who has a nice package of size and speed. Ricardo plays hard and is physical and has outstanding quick feet that help with stalk blocking. He shows a nice burst and takes the fight to defenders.

Needs work:
Despite the skills to do so, Ricardo has not shown the ability to create in space. He needs to work on his cutting and making the first opponent miss.

Ricardo reminds us of this former Michigan Wolverine:
Marquise Walker

Red-shirt or play his freshman year:
GBMW believes Ricardo will play his freshman year.

Where do they rank him:
ESPN: 4-Star .. # 27 at position.
Rivals: 3-Star .. #66 at position.
Scout: 4-Star .. #27 at position.

Final thoughts:
Ricardo could turn into another Kevin Koger type of player by his size, but right now we see him as a split end and getting playing time this year. He could add some weight and be used like Koger is used in the slot receiver position or be used if Michigan decides they need a tight end in the game in a few years because as of right now they seem to be going away from recruiting another tight end.
