Embracing change is Mesko's mantra

When he was 11 years old, Zoltan Mesko's parents planned to leave their native Romania and move to the United States. At first, they worried their only child might be reticent to leave his friends and the life he knew behind.
Those fears were quickly allayed by his response.
"Hey, let's pack our bags and go," he told his mother, Elizabeth.
Mesko spent his formative years in the Cleveland suburb of Twinsburg, Ohio, where he admittedly took a rooting interest in a certain scarlet-and-gray-clad team not far from his home. When Lloyd Carr came calling, however, he didn't hesitate to join the Wolverines.
"When you've got a scholarship on the table, you take an unbiased look at things," he said.
