Michigan 2-minute drill

Eliminate the Benn Factor
Arrelious Benn is Illinois' top receiver (19, 260 yards, two TDs), and he and QB Juice Williams have found a rhythm. Making Benn a nonissue will be a challenge. But the Illini offense does have options. If the Wolverines can shut down Benn, coach Rich Rodriguez warned this week the Illini run game has been overlooked. It was unclear whether the Illini could fill the void left by TB Rashard Mendenhall , but they have with junior Daniel Dufrene (396 yards, 50 carries; 6.7 average). Behind Dufrene are three others who should not be ignored -- freshmen Mikel LeShoure and Jason Ford and redshirt freshman Troy Pollard .
Squeeze the 'Juice'
Historically, Michigan has had difficulty with dual-threat quarterbacks, especially seasoned ones. That's why getting to Illinois QB Juice Williams is a priority. He leads the Big Ten in total offense (297 yards) and is third in passing (226.2). "This is his third year as a starter, so he's seen just about everything you can throw at him," Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said. The one thing that might help Michigan? Facing the spread every day in practice (freshman QB Justin Feagin played Williams this week).
Time to start fast
