QB Clark big reason why Penn St. is 7-0 heading into UM game

ANN ARBOR - Of the many reasons Penn State is undefeated and ranked third nationally heading into tomorrow's home game against Michigan, none is more critical than quarterback Daryll Clark's play.

"It's the difference between winning and losing," Nittany Lions 43rd-year coach Joe Paterno said this week. "In a tough football game, your quarterback has got to be the guy your kids lean on."

Clark, a senior with eligibility remaining, leads the Big Ten and is 11th in the country in pass efficiency (160.6 rating) and has thrown for 10 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He's the conference's reigning offensive player of the week, having completed 16 of 25 passes for a career-high 244 yards and a touchdown in Penn State's 48-7 thrashing of Wisconsin
