Mailbag Question: Going into Northwestern
Hello:
Going into the Northwestern game it looks like Michigan might actually be able to pull in a winning streak with how Northwestern has been playing.
How Purdue, Minnesota and Northwestern does has spread offense similar and different.
Is there something that the coaches have learned to help them out now or that will help them against Northwestern?
What is going to be the main factor for Michigan to win against Northwestern in your guys thoughts?
James

Thanks for the question. Northwestern spread looks and plays more like Purdue’s; both are passing spread that also uses strong running game. Where Minnesota spread is mostly a passing offense.
Biggest difference is Northwestern will use no huddle much if not all the time. They play much faster and rely more on getting into a rhythm. Northwestern will present a different challenge because their style of play makes it difficult to substitute and switch up packages.
