Overview:
Will be four year starter at quarterback for his high school team that is regular State Tournament qualifier. He is a very good overall athlete. Like having quarterbacks as defensive backs. The knowledge of routes and offenses is huge help in our opinion.
Strengths:
Nice quick feet who shows very good change of direction. Smooth easy back pedal with very good transition from back pedal to run and back pedal forward. His hips were also very good and loose.
Needs Work:
Not as physical as we prefer and can use some strength training and weight. Also has had some problems with jam and in press coverage. Average top end speed, but again hope that some time with one Coach Barwis can help that. A couple of opportunities to absolutely rearrange wide receivers brain cells and did not.
Reminds us of former Michigan player:
Marcus Curry -- As for why Curry? He is same size and build, with similar movement skills, but not 100% sure, Curry also played some quarterback in high school we believe. Curry was not a star, but was a multiple year starter and made two NFL teams practice squads. Will gladly take another cornerback good enough to get legit shot at NFL. Marcus Curry was second team All Big Ten one season and had around 50 tackles that season.
