Recently been getting a lot of comments from fred or "lil dex" lately because he is obviously not man enough to put his name on much of anything unless he sends an e-mail to threaten CoachBt and myself.

First off, we (CoachBt and myself) have said several times from the start of this blog that we were not "into grammar" especially as it is concerned on the internet. We have admitted this several times, but the wla seems to be grammar police these days on the Michigan blog networks.
What is funny that the wla or lil dex hates this blog so much, but he continues to come here on a daily basis to get his information since he cannot actually get his own information about Michigan.
So to him and anybody else keep coming by and making fun because frankly your helping with our site to get even bigger. Each time you continue to make comments on Brian's blog we get traffic. When you write articles about CoachBt and myself just shows us that you have no knowledge about Michigan so you have to trash people that actually get information. So keep it up just makes you look like a fool.
The funny thing about lil dex and the wla I have actually probably only been to that site 4-5 times and here lately I get e-mails sent to me about what they have written today about this blog and CoachBt and myself. It is really funny they hate "us" so much, but they are probably one of the guys that keeps coming here several times a day to see what information we have today. So keep it up.
To all those concerned with mailbag questions. We get a ton of e-mails a week and try to answer them as quickly as we can. We do not make up mailbag question like lil dex believes. We do not have to with the fans we have sending in questions. The only time we put out our own stuff is when it is labeled "Michigan Tidbits" or "Coaches Corner".
Another little fact, but I am sure lil dex does not want to hear this, but we could care less about what he does or even comments on about our blog page. Keep it up in fact. This little site of ours has been getting an average of over 3,000 clicks a day on our site (and this is the off-season) and probably besides the information you probably have helped by spreading our name out there. We know there are a lot bigger blogs out there and we are happy for them, but to us we never thought this blog would ever be that big when we started this blog. So THANK YOU!
One last tidbit, we (CoachBt and myself) do not have the time to comment or make people's names up. If we make a comment we stand behind it and we are man enough to put our name on it and if you do not like this site do not read it or visit it we have enough people that enjoy what we put out there and most know that we are not the grammar kings like so many others out there.

Looks like jg2112 has a boner for your website. He is the resident troll on mgoblue's blogsite who has to routinely trash you. The guy posts like there's no tomorrow (168 points which is a lot!). Talk about a kid who has no life. Brian's blog is a good blog. Unfortunately, he's letting his board get out of control. And that might come back to bite him the ass because there is a nasty trend of posters on there that are making Michigan fans look like the Ohio State fans we mock. Not a good trend. Obviously Brian doesn't care.
Keep up the good work Eroc and Coach. Some of us aren't as arrogant and snobbish like the wanna be Michigan fans who post on MGOBLOG's board.
WLA aka wimpy little aholes are not Michigan fans. They are Ohio State fans pretending to be Michigan fans and thus why they act the way they do. Douchebag Dex and his band of prancing putzs have a nice gig going at MGOBLOG. I just don't think anyone realizes they are being duped by Ohio State fans.
I try to check the Blog daily to answer, or give opinion on any question that is asked on the comment section. Over the next 6 weeks this will be easier. Shortly after 4th of July we swing into gear and start pereping for the season. Will 100% do my best to keep up, contrary to what our friends ErocWolverine think, I really do coach high school football. Also if some of my answers seem abit shrt or edgy I apoligize upfront. Still get the edgy butterflies going after almost 30 years in the business.
I don't know who lil dex is and frankly I don't care. I read your blog every day and love the info. I don't mind the grammatical things because I realize you are just providing information. I have sent an email before thanking you for a great blog and your time. For every lil dex out there there are hundreds of appreciative readers. Thanks!
Never heard of wla before so I went over to check it out - that site is pure garbage and an embarrassment to the Michigan fanbase.
I wouldn't even justify its existence with any future responses.

Eroc and CoachBt are good guys who have been around the program for years. To say they aren't authentic fans or that they lack football knowledge means nothing from a hack who grasps for straws trying to be a more witty Brian Cook.
These are guys with actual jobs who are running a little side business for fun. Guys who don't want to join in on the fun and can only comment on syntax and grammar truly must have endless troubles getting laid.
The UM blogosphere has reached its saturation point therefore this has led to a lot of penis envy. The WLA is an example of this. They try to infuse their personality into their posts using communist style speak and snark but in the end it falls flat because it is neither funny nor informative.

GBWM = guys who know football, played football, and know how the team operates.
Mgoblog=nerds who never played football, wish they had, and know nothing much about football other than what they take from here or pay sites and then post on their own blog. And gotta ad that their father's ignored them as a child and why they behave like aholes that have to prove a point online.
Many on MGOBLOG should be sent to Gitmo and have their testicles electrocuted.
Craven = guy with a tired, unoriginal sense of humor and worn-out avatars who posts pictures of dead people on MGoBlog, and inexplicably keeps re-registering under new usernames after being banned. (psst! you're not fooling anyone.)
And MGoBlog is one guy - Brian Cook - and he sure provides a helluva lot more content and insight about football than the stuff here. Now, if you're referring to the commenters, then I would stack them up to you and the GMBW fanbois any day, and I'd come out on top each and every time.

I just want to say that I have never had a problem with Brian at MGoBlog. We have chatted a lot and go back and forth once in awhile about various topics.
I believe that most people that are making comments like Brian's blog. I think most are complaining about the people making comments there and not Brian himself.
As CoachBt, MaizeMan, and myself have all stated for a long time "if you do not like it -- do not read it or better yet do not even visit here."

While you might not have anything against Brian, and why should you, he has let certain people continue to hijack the boards on his site and create an unfriendly atmosphere. He either doesn't care or knows and approves. Either way, he will slowly kill the success of his site where it becomes just a place for a few regs who ignore their real life so that they can feel special in an online community.
GBMW is great information. The grammar stuff bugs me sometimes, but that's how you guys roll. Would rather get the useful content I get here than what passes for entertainment elsewhere. Keep up the good work!
That said, don't hate on mgoblog... there's room for lots of approaches in the Michigan fanbase, and Brian does a great job too!
I have great respect Brian and envy his writing ability. He is in my opinion one of the most entertaining writers on UM football on the web.

coachBT, I get the edgy butterflies not only WHILE I write post but also AFTER. You never know who will LIKE and or DISLIKE your e-blog site. Just epinion.
To be fair, even I find it fairly hypocritical of you to call out these Anonymous posters for not standing behind their post by putting their name on it. I mean you fellas sign everything ErocWolverine, CoachBT, and Maizeman. Now I know why you do that, because I know you guys and appreciate the access, however it still screams of hypocrisy.
While I agree that the board at MGoBlog has gone downhill, I blame the influx of Scout/Rivals/MLive posters. I'm sure there's a significant overlap between them and those posters defending GBMW here.
Sorry HEB but have to disagree with you. There is difference between posting information and such and making threats to a persons saftey and lives.
MGoBlog (i.e. Brian's content) is great. I never read the diaries or the message board posts. I don't read the WLA because it's generally incoherent and its schtick isn't funny. I do read this site regularly, despite its imperfections.
Please understand that this is intended to be constructive rather than hateful, but I believe in directness (call it "tough love"): the grammar thing is important. Poor writing can make smart, informed people sound stupid. Michigan is a good school that takes pride in its educational standards. You are writing for an educated audience, and many potential readers won't take you seriously if you constantly make grammatical mistakes that they wouldn't tolerate from their children.
As an educator, I tell all my students that it doesn't matter how smart they are if they can't communicate what they know with clear, cogent writing. Writing is all about reaching your audience. Instead of getting mad when readers tease you for using "it's" instead of "its," why not try to learn the difference? As football coaches, you wouldn't want your players to take pride in a refusal to learn from their mistakes, would you?
So keep up the good work, guys. Don't let the critics get you down. But don't stop trying to improve, either. The best way to shut up immature critics like the WLA is to deprive them of ammunition. You do understand the game, so you should be able to write about it clearly.
As a 25 years plus educator, I 100% agree. Trust me, this SLD thing made getting my MA and Specialist degrees a pain in the @SS/major challenge.
