Thanks for the question.
1) Improve the play at the line of scrimmage. Football games are still won in the trenches.
2) Fix the turnover problem. UM will not beat many good teams losing the turnover battle, especially when the number is five on the road.
3) Improve the third down efficiency on defense. The defense has to get off the field when it gets the chance.
4) The offense needs to show some sort of vertical passing game. Michigan needs to make some big plays in the passing game as well as the running game.
5) Improve Michigan’s return game. UM’s performance has declined the past two weeks and the team is not getting many yards from punt or kickoff returns. Consistently starting deep in your own territory is not good. Short field beats long field every time.
