I have been following the blog for quite a while and I have a few questions.

1) What position are Stokes and Cam Gordon playing?

2) What year will Mike Williams be next year?

3) Did Vlad and Teric Jones officially burn their red shirts?

4) What safety position is T Gordon playing?

5) Where are the LB's lining up - Hawthorne, B Smith, Bell, Demens, and Mike Jones.

6) Lastly, do you guys have a list of recruits starting school in Jan? There was some discussion on whether or not they count towards this coming class or the previous class.

Thanks for all the questions, Randy, and also for the nice comment.

1) Stokes split time at slot receiver and split end, but mostly at split end. Cam Gordon played strictly split end.

2. M. Williams will be a red shirt Junior.

3. Yes we believe so, but we will check just to be sure. We believe they both played special teams at some point in time and also saw a couple of snaps on defense. It certainly would have been nice to red shirt both of them, especially if they were not going to get a chance to play.

4. Gordon is playing strong safety.

5. Hawthorne is playing Steve Brown’s strong-side linebacker, B Smith played inside linebacker and safety, Demens played inside linebacker behind Mouton, Bell played strong side linebacker, and Mike Jones started out at strong side linebacker, but also got reps at inside linebacker.

6. If players enroll in January they can be counted against the previous recruiting class. Therefore, this year recruiting class if they come in early will count against the 2009 recruiting class numbers. They have to make sure they have scholarships available along with following the rules of the numbers allowed for a given year.
