Jeremy Jackson: 2010 Michigan Wolverine -- Split End -- Signing Day Recap

Posted at 4:00pm -- 2/4/2010

Jeremy Jackson: 2010 Michigan Wolverine

Height: 6'3
Weight: 194
Position: Split End
High School: Ann Arbor Huron (Michigan)
Head Coach: Cory Gildersleeve
Recruiter: Coach Fred Jackson
Class: 2010 Michigan Wolverine Recruiting Class (Enrolled)

Overview:
Jeremy is a tall, smooth split end who is a very good athlete. He has a very nice frame and should be able to add weight as he matures physically. Jeremy is strictly an offensive player. There is no film showing him playing defense or special teams. He is a good get for Coach Rod and staff.

Strengths:
Jeremy has a big body with long arms and uses those assets very well. He shields opponents away from the ball and uses his long arms and jumping ability to catch the fades. Jeremy catches the ball well with his hands and makes nice cuts. He seems to really use his size as an advantage and seems to have above average hands.

Needs work:
Jeremy is not overly explosive and does not separate as well as we would like to see at this point in his career. He also needs to get stronger. After the catch, Jeremy has shown nothing special. He is very young and, with maturity, should overcome many of his weaknesses.

Jeremy reminds us of this former Michigan Wolverine:
Tim Massaquoi

Red-shirt or play his freshman year:
GBMW believes Jeremy will red-shirt.

Where do they rank him:
ESPN: 4-Star .. #39 at position.
Rivals: 3-Star .. #N/A at position.
Scout: 3-Star .. #79 at position.

Final Thoughts:
GBMW believes that Jeremy is the most likely candidate to take over the role that Kevin Koger is now playing. We said that Ricardo Miller could possible be that player as well, but it is more likely that Jeremy will be bulked up a little bit and take over as a slot receiver in certain formations and also be a tight end in a few years.
